On 27 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Lithuania Malik Muhammad Farooq. The meeting discussed topical issues of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Pakistan, migration and security in the region, as well as prospects for economic cooperation.

On 24 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis attended the Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels. Ministers continued the discussion on the European security situation that took place on 13-14 January in Brest, France. Ministers also discussed the situation remotely with the United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

On 17 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis conferred the award of honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Lithuania's Diplomacy Star – on Dr. Lara Lempertienė, Head of the Judaica Research Centre at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the dissemination of research on the history and cultural heritage of Lithuanian Jews abroad, and to the commemoration of the Vilna Gaon’s 300th birth anniversary and the 700th anniversary of the history of Jews in Lithuania.
