Lithuania's Foreign Minister Landsbergis to pay a working visit to Norway
On 24-25 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will be visiting Norway, where he will meet with the Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt. The meeting will focus on cooperation between Lithuania and Norway in the areas of security and defence, the region's security situation and assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russia's aggression. Among other important items on the international agenda, the interlocutors will discuss comprehensive support for Ukraine, setting up a Special Tribunal to prosecute the crime of aggression.
Landsbergis will also meet with Ine Eriksen Søreide, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Norwegian Parliament (Storting), and members of the Committee, and will participate in discussions with political researchers at the Norwegian Institute of Affairs (NUPI). Landsbergis and Huitfeldt will also travel to Bardufoss, where they will meet with representatives of the Norwegian Armed Forces and will visit Norwegian troops that are deploying to NATO's enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Group in Lithuania.
