1540 CHAIR AMBASSADOR KIM ATTENDS OSCE MEETING HOSTED BY LITHUANIA

The Chair of the United Nations Security Council 1540 Committee, Ambassador Kim Sook of the Republic of Korea participated at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Forum for Security Cooperation (FSC) Dialogue meeting on 15 May 2013 in Vienna (Austria). The event is part of Lithuania's chairmanship of the FSC until September 2013.

During its FSC Chairmanship Lithuania will encourage the OSCE to contribute and assist countries in a consistent manner in implementing the United Nations Security Council resolution on women, peace and security (1325) and the resolution on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (1540).
