CONCEPT NOTES ON PROTECTION OF CIVILIANS AND RULE OF LAW DEBATES

Lithuanian Presidency of the United Nations Security Council will hold two open debates in February. The debate on the protection of civilians during the armed conflict will be held on 12 February and the debate on the rule of law on 19 February.
The Presidency encourages the Security Council members and UN membership to focus the debates on the implementation of mandates given to the UN peacekeeping and political missions.
