Invitation to the screening of the film Persona Non Grata
The Permanent Mission of Lithuania to the United Nations, in cooperation with The Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme and the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations, cordially invites to the screening of the film "Persona Non Grata" that will take place on Janaury 25, Wednesday, from 6:15 pm at the United Nations CR4.
The film reveals the story of Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat whose decision to issue visas to Jewish refugees in Kaunas, Lithuania, saved thousands of lives. The Permanent Representatives of Japan and Lithuania to the United Nations will deliver opening statements. Film director Cellin Gluck will introduce the film and participate in a discussion with the audience. Mr. Maher Nasser, the Director of the Outreach Division in the United Nations Department of Public Information, will moderate the discussion.
