Lithuania establishes diplomatic relations with the Republic of Fiji

On 24 January, in New York, H.E. Ms. Raimonda Murmokaitė, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Nations, and H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Fiji to the United Nations, signed the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Fiji.

The establishment of diplomatic relations will contribute to the promotion of bilateral relations in political, economic, humanitarian, cultural and other fields. 

The Republic of Fiji is the 176th state with which Lithuania has established the diplomatic relations.
