Lithuania establishes diplomatic relations with Togo

On 22 September, in New York, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Linas Linkevičius and Togolese Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister Mr. Robert Dussey signed the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Lithuania and the Togolese Republic.
The establishment of diplomatic relations will contribute to the promotion of bilateral relations, especially in international organizations. The Ministers also discussed the possibilities to develop bilateral economic and trade relations.
The Togolese Republic is the 180th state with which Lithuania has established the diplomatic relations.
