NEW LITHUANIAN PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE UN PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO UN SECRETARY GENERAL

Ambassador Raimonda Murmokaite, new Lithuanian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, presented her credentials to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on 25 October 2012. At the meeting with the Secretary General, Ambassador Murmokaite highlighted consistent focus of Lithuania on enhancing the role of women, interest in the Secretary General's Sustainable Energy for All initiative, and nuclear security. Ambassador spoke of the experience that Lithuania gathered in building a robust democracy and strengthening national economic and social environment.
